Location Data Policy

Immunization Tracker collects and uses location data to strengthen data collection and field monitoring activities for immunization programs.

How We Use Location Data:

Precise location data is collected during field visits, checklist submissions, and monthly data collection activities at the village and block levels.

Background location access may occur to monitor field movement during immunization sessions, even when the app is closed or not actively in use, to ensure accurate tracking of field-level work.

Location data enables real-time visualization of program impact, strengthens micro-planning for routine immunization (RI), and improves frontline worker accountability.

Data Sharing and Privacy:

Location data is used solely for internal analysis and performance monitoring related to immunization program strengthening.

All collected data is stored securely in accordance with industry-standard security practices.

User Control:

You can opt out of location tracking at any time by disabling location permissions in your device settings.

Please note that disabling location access may affect the app’s ability to accurately track field activities and could limit functionality.

Children’s Privacy

This application is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. It is designed for authorized health coordinators to collect information about high-risk children under 5 years of age for immunization tracking purposes to support the state and district government health officials in identification and follow-up of high-risk cases for immunization. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information directly from children. All data collected through the application is provided by authorized users (coordinators) and is handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws. If we become aware that personal information has been collected directly from a child without appropriate consent, we will take prompt action to delete such information. The collected information is stored securely and is accessible only to authorized personnel.

Consent and legal basis

Collection and processing of personal information is based on legitimate public health interest and is done with appropriate administrative approvals.
